Hiatus Status: In Recovery
I definitely expected to “be back” far earlier than today. But for the first time since my Covid infection in late May 2022, I finally felt like my lingering brain fog became controllable enough to write.
Right now I’m working toward rebuilding my writing habit. And I'm piecing together the hodgepodge of notes and project-scribbles I’ve been recording for the almost-seven-months post-Covid infection, readying to share the next steps with you.
With that, one of my upcoming projects is to remodel my approach to “newsletter” writing.
I’m creating a new “lifestyle” newsletter based around chronic illness and neurodivergence, launching January 2023.
And, of course, you're invited. 😉
It’ll be a lot of what I was already doing here before I got Covid and had surgery (unrelated to the former), but more focused and with much more to offer.
The new venture won’t be exclusionary / designed only for chronic illness folks, to be clear. "Life and Other Stories" will focus on intentional creation, organization, and living.
We'll explore living life to the fullest without guilt, shame, and with as little (unintentionally) self-inflicted pain as possible—no matter your life’s complexities.
I’ll do interviews, explore new topics, and offer a paid subscription model once I get myself back to baseline (which I’ll share about too).
I created SEGwrites to be a space to collect my writing pieces from around the web—not to be its own “thing,” which I forced it into. I think I was afraid to have too many things going at one time, but betrayed my previous niche-business teachings in doing so.
Now SEGwrites will return to its roots with a once-monthly round-up of whatever writing I publish / get published, and finally I’ll untangle my platforms once and for all.
Thank you for your patience.
I hope you have a great rest of your holiday season, and I’ll write you (for sure, at least) in early 2023!
My best,
Sara
This newsletter comes out Sunday mornings (U.S.). You can help keep them coming by becoming a paid subscriber, buying my planner for professionals, buying me a “cup of coffee,” and even sharing and “Liking” this post helps, too.
I appreciate you whether you contribute a lot, a little, or even if you can’t right now. Thanks for being a subscriber, and thanks for reading.
